Oh Atlanta

We headed to Atlanta Friday for a weekend with friends, family and some competition.
At the Georgia Dome to pick up my race packet (in the pouring rain)!
Lilly played with cousin Nora Ann who is almost her age and lives in Atlanta.

Nora has her dad's dimples - aren't they cute!

The more, the merrier!

Cousin Sue, Nora's mom has her hands full with both girls!
Tom, Nora's dad takes a turn with both!

Thanks to a get together at Tony and Marci McCarver's Saturday night, we were able to see some friends and supporters who visited Bolivia while we were there. They loved meeting Lilly.

Cindy Irish and Lilly got along great! We enjoyed staying at Cindy's house during the weekend.

Lilly is obsessed about touching people's lips ... she wants to touch Marci's here.

Sunday morning I ran in the Atlanta ING Marathon.

Charles took this picture above of the guy that is in first place.

Charles and Lilly met me along the course to cheer me on! What a great support team!
I'm smiling here but the hills were absolutely brutal! The course itself weaved through the parks and neighborhoods of Atlanta. It was beautiful!
Fortunately I trained well and felt great. That is, until I hit the wall at mile 23 just before a 3-mile climb toward the finish.
At the finish! 3 hours and 49 minutes!

I don't know who's happier that I finished me or Lil?!
Charles' parents treated us to Cheesecake Factory for a celebratory finish and an early birthday! Lilly enjoyed it as much as we did!Lilly's new thing is giving kisses as well as blowing them!

Bad Hair Day

My New Feathered Friends (and more)

Lilly feeds the ducks saltines almost every night after dinner down at the lake next to our house. Lilly has grown close to her feathered friends! Unfortuntely she doesn't understand they want her cracker too! Now she tells them "No No" when all the crackers are gone.

Note the "Viva Santa Cruz" shirt - My true Bolivianita!

First Snow ... and more

Just enough snow to cover the ground ...
She has four teeth and growing many more (as we only know from the drool and dirty diapers).

"Mom, I'm cold ... can't you tell"

One way to eat a 'nilla wafer ... notice her hat and booties match ...

Lilly so excited to wish cousin Caleb a happy first birthday.

Isn't this hat ridiculous?

It gets worse ... jeans over my tights ... and a clashing hat "come on, Mom." Lilly ended up with quite an ensemble when we kept adding clothes throughout the day. She started with tights, then needed jeans outside as not to ruin the tights, then she needed a hat to go feed the ducks so this was the end result.
